If you know me personally, you know I’ve been writing for something like 15 years, but I took a looooong hiatus from publishing. I’m slowly getting this site off the ground and plan to start posting things soon. They’re probably going to be in the flavor of editing commentary, discussions about books that cause me ConcernTM, and my newest medical interests.

If you don’t know me personally, hello! My friends call me the local plague doctor because my life is somehow about medicine, against my will. I dropped out of pre-med after investing two years studying for the MCAT and decided to teach, and then I ended up teaching Biochemistry, Genetics, and Anatomy & Physiology for students pursuing clinical pathways. I believe in ginger tea for stomachaches, antibiotics for bacterial infections, and vaccinations for your children (and adults). Eat fiber. Don’t get colon cancer.

I was an editor for almost a decade, and I still come out of retirement upon particularly compelling request. I do prefer writing to editing, however, and I currently have a backlog of work, most of which I can’t discuss. But you can expect news about short stories, novellas, and novels this year!
